As each company grew, the facilities became increasingly crowded. JL Tubing was growing so quickly that it needed more room. To accommodate the growth of the companies, a final 6,000 square feet was added on to the front of the building. This final addition allowed for more office space for these two thriving companies.

Over the next several year both companies continued to grow; however, JL Tubing was growing at a much faster rate than United. As JL's inventory grew, it squeezed United into a smaller space. The time had come for JL to move out.

Current President Robert J Cline
Started working Trade Shows
at a young age.

In 1967, JL Tubing moved to Lincoln Park, NJ. This meant both good and bad news for United Show Case Co. The good news was that United finally had the space that it dearly needed. The bad news was that both companies had doubled their overhead and operating expenses. Both companies continued to grow; however, the rate at which United was growing was nowhere near that of JL Tubing's growth.

The next 8 years were not good for United Show Case Co., Inc. The company's sales stalled, production was off, and JL had continued to use the resources of United for it gains. In 1975, JL Tubing was sold to Acme tubing in New Brunswick NJ. Acme purchased everything except the building. United continued to pay for two buildings, one in Moonachie and one in Lincoln Park, the taxes and maintenance started to kill the company.

In 1977, our current Owner Robert J Cline decided to purchase United Show Case Co. The company was in the red; sales and production were down, and the overhead was still high. Unfortunately the small company that had come so far since 1935 was dying. Business advisors and accountants advised Robert J. Cline not to purchase the company, but he had a goal, to build United Show Case Co. back to the proud and profitable company it was in 1958.

Custom 930 Case

Robert J. Cline never lost sight of his goal. Through sacrifice and perseverance, he built United Show Case into the company it is today.

In 1979 United started introducing new products. The entire stainless steel line was redesigned and introduced in Brass. New Case designs, including the all glass 930 series and Brass Ball fitting protector and display cases were added.
